Ben Orisich

Ben Orisich shoots films like they shoot back—tight, deliberate, built to leave a mark. Known for his cinematic precision and emotionally resonant storytelling, Ben is a commercial director who brings both artistic clarity and collaborative trust to every frame.. He’s currently represented by Sugar Film Productions for U.S. commercial work.

With over two decades of directing experience—and a foundation in post-production, design, and visual effects before that—Ben brings a rare full-picture perspective to every project. His approach is both technical and intuitive. He’s known not just for his storytelling instincts, but for his ego-free presence on set and his ability to bring creative teams into alignment with clarity and calm.

His recent Stanley Cup opening tease earned a Clio Award shortlist, adding to a slate of accolades that includes an Emmy nomination, New York Festivals Award, and early in his career, recognition as one of SHOOT Magazine’s Best New Directors.

Ben’s career is defined by trust and long-term creative partnerships. He directed the Indy 500 opening campaign for eight consecutive years, earning multiple New York Festivals Awards, and collaborated with IZOD and other PVH-owned brands for 17 years. His commercial work spans celebrity-led campaigns, lifestyle storytelling, automotive, and sports features for clients including Google, Honda, Hyundai, ESPN, Chevrolet, SPEEDO, and more.

From Super Bowl spots to branded origin stories, Ben’s through-line is consistent: emotionally honest storytelling powered by bold, purposeful visuals. He doesn’t rely on spectacle—it’s always about revealing something human beneath the surface.

In 2024, he released the short thriller Violence of Action, which won Best Action/Thriller Short at multiple festivals, including top honors at the San Diego Short Film Festival—a testament to his narrative range beyond commercial work.

Ben’s curiosity doesn’t take days off—he’s usually chasing a story, the perfect cappuccino, or an excuse to make something blow up (on camera, of course). He’s also an avid climber, a mountain biker when time allows, and often off on a road trip with his wife and their two dogs. He’s filmed across continents—from Iceland and Italy to South America, Mexico, and beyond—always seeking out moments that feel real, grounded, and worth remembering.
